Privacy Notice and Terms of Use Agreement
Service 1 Federal Credit Union is committed to protecting the privacy of each member's financial records consistent with state and federal laws. S1FCU will take prudent and reasonable measures to safeguard the accuracy and privacy of all member information including information used while conducting business via the internet, ATM networks, wire services, telephone, the U.S. mail, and other means of communication. Article XIX, section 2 of S1FCU bylaws, requires its officers, directors, members of committees, and employees to "hold in confidence all transactions of this credit union with its members and information respecting their personal affairs". We are required by law to give you this privacy notice to explain how we collect, use and safeguard your personal financial information. Information We Collect About You
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications and other forms, such as: your name, social security number, assets, and income.
- Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others, such as: your account balances, payment history, parties transactions, and credit card usage.
- Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency, such as: your credit worthiness and credit history.
- Information obtained when verifying the information you provide on an application or other forms. This may be obtained from your current or past employers or from other institutions where you conduct financial transactions.
Information We Disclose About You
We may disclose all the information we collect, as described previously, to companies that perform marketing services on our behalf (for example, check printing companies) or to other financial institution with whom we have joint marketing agreements. To protect our members' privacy, we only work with companies that agree to maintain strong confidentiality protections and limit the use of information we provide. We do not permit these companies to sell the member information we provide to other third parties.
In order to conduct business of the credit union, we may also disclose nonpublic personal information about you under other circumstances as permitted or required by law. These disclosures typically include information to process transactions on your behalf, conduct the operations of the credit union, and follow your instructions as you authorize, or protect the security of our financial records.
If you terminate your membership with Service 1 Federal Credit Union, we will not share information we have collected about you, except as permitted by law.

What You Can Do to Protect Your Privacy
Service 1 Federal Credit Union is committed to protection the privacy of its members. Members can help by following these simple guidelines:
- Protect your account numbers, card numbers, PINs (personal identification numbers) and passwords. Never keep your PIN with your ATM or credit card, which can provide free access to your account(s) if your card is lost or stolen.
- Use caution when disclosing your account numbers, social security numbers, etc. to other persons. If someone calls you, and says they are calling on behalf of the credit union and asks for your account number, you should beware. Official credit union staff will have access to your information and will not need to ask for it.
- Keep your information with the credit union current. It is important that we have current information on how to reach you. If we detect potentially fraudulent or unauthorized activity or use of an account, we will attempt to contact you immediately. If your address or phone number changes, please let us know.

We collect, retain and utilize information in order to make products, services and other opportunities available to you. We also collect information that is reasonably necessary and useful, to measure the use of our site and to improve the content of the site. Information typically consists of name, e-mail address, and other relevant feedback or information that is volunteered by the member. Our Web server automatically recognizes the IP address and domain where each visitor to our Web site came from. Email addresses are also collected from any direct e-mail communication sent to the credit union. Name, e-mail and other information are gathered through voluntary application forms, surveys or information request forms on the Web site. The information that is gathered is stored on the private network of CU*Answers, our data processor. It is protected by duel redundant firewalls. We do not knowingly supply this information to any party unless required to do so by law.
You choose whether we know who you are
Our website collects no personal information unless you take the initiative to submit that information through an online form, or via e-mail. We do not use cookies. (A "cookie" is a file placed on your hard drive by a web site that allows it to monitor your visit, usually without your knowledge.) You can set your browser to warn you when placement of a cookie is requested, allowing you to decide whether or not to accept it.
